About the Cerretello
The Cerretello is a “Chianti Superiore” – this, like most region specific labels (or appellations), simply dictates what type of grape or blend of grapes can go into the wine, how long it must stay in barrel, then bottle before being released for sale.
But less about the details, and on to how it tastes.
Tasting note
Deep ruby coloured with a powerful nose, blackberries, cherries, some herbs with a little rustic “farmyard funk” going on in there
In the gob, gorgeous juicy fruit coming through with a velvet smoothy texture. High acidity leading through to drying tannins.
Great with pizza, pasta, steak and lamb and lots of other stuff too.
Delicious.
