Technically “Connacht-man” as born in Galway and lived on western (i.e. Connacht) side of Athlone until 1990. When you’re from Athlone you don’t really belong to any proivince anyway – some say that Athlone is the fifth province.
I think I spent an evening in Bozo’s one time in Athlone. It had a very Leinster (okay, Western Dublin) ambience, hence my assumption.
Bozos – many’s the desperately-unsuccessful night I spent on the pull in there back in the late nineties.
