Today, Monday 16th June, Enowine are hosting an icon wine tasting in their IFSC Dublin Wine Tasting Centre. It looks fabulous and I wish I could make it.
Eight iconic wines are going into the enomatic tasting system. The first group is be a vertical tasting of Château Lynch Bages with four different vintages to compare: 1994, 1997, 1998, 2004.
The second group is made up of fine wines from around the world from the same year.
- Stag’s Leap ‘Fay’, Napa Valley, California USA 1997
- Fox Creek Reserve Shiraz, McLaren Vale Australia 1997
- Casa Lapostolle ‘Clos Apalta’ Rapel Valley, Chile 1997
- Giuseppe Quintarelli Valpolicella, Veneto, Italy 1997
Although I’m incredibly late in posting, if you are interested in this event, call Hakan on 01 636 0616 to reserve a place. He will also be able to tell you more about the wines and the reason they have been chosen.
Lar,
Thanks for the heads up on this. The Lynch Bages were interesting but probably not the best Bordeauxs in the world, but the Quintarelli, Fox Creek and Stag’s Leap were all pretty damn special!
Cheers,
Will
Glad you enjoyed it, Will.
I’m sorry I missed it.
