About the stemware thing — I agree that it’s serously over the top — particularly a glass designed for Oregon pinot noir — that’s clearly just silly. But at the same time, having a nice variety of glasses adds to the enjoyment of the whole thing for me. Sure it doens’t taste better, but it’s more fun.
