When I first saw the label, “Bourgogne Aligoté”, I assumed a Chardonnay. In fact, it’s a completely different grape from the Chardonnay-dominated Burgundy region.

Up to now I’ve had a theory that Chile was going to be the new New Zealand for Pinot Noir. So with this theory and being a sucker for the organic tag, I picked up this one in Fallon & Byrne in Dublin for about €15.
