I dropped into The Corkscrew in Chatham Street, Dublin to pick up some wine in their August sale (the Nolan Cabernet Sauvignon) and Paul Crowley generously donated this Ernest & Julio Gallo Estate Cabernet Sauvignon for review on the site.

I tasted the “Lo Piot” 2002 from Priorat over two days, leaving it out in a flat bottomed decanter for 24 hours between tasting. Why? to see how it developed (and I wasn’t that thirsty last night).

The third open wine evening took place in Enowine, IFSC. We had a great night trying wines on the enomatic system, listening to a talk on Baron de Ley wines from Rioja and tasting a 25 year old wine from Austria.
