No such thing as great vintages, just great bottles? Perhaps so, as this 2001 Bressan Pinot Nero really sucked.

I tasted the “Lo Piot” 2002 from Priorat over two days, leaving it out in a flat bottomed decanter for 24 hours between tasting. Why? to see how it developed (and I wasn’t that thirsty last night).

When I first saw the label, “Bourgogne Aligoté”, I assumed a Chardonnay. In fact, it’s a completely different grape from the Chardonnay-dominated Burgundy region.
