The funky Dylan Hotel have just launched their new Supper Club and Autumn Wine Series.

The Rugby World Cup Through Wines, Monday, September 19th.

The theme of their first evening is “The Rugby World Cup Through Wines” (on Monday, September 19th). To tie in with the rugger, there will be a wine tournament to mirror the world cup with the winning country decided on the night.

Let’s hope it’s not Australia in the rugby this Saturday, but I’m perfectly okay with them winning at the wine. Along with the wine, there will also be a four course supper and prizes.

‘Hidden Gems’,  October 3rd

‘Hidden Gems’ is next in the Series on October 3rd, which is all about small, boutique vineyards and obscure grapes. Wines will be accompanied with no fewer than seven courses from the Dylan kitchen using artisan Irish suppliers.

‘Wine Through the Ages’, October 24th

This looks to be really interesting to me – it’s a “vertical” theme, comparing vintages from renowned vineyards. As before, wines are paired with a four course supper.

‘Sparkling Supper’, 14th November

The final in the series is all about bubbles. An evening of Champagnes with a specially created four course supper. Nyom.

How much and how to book

Each event is €55.00 per person, with ‘Sparkling Supper’ €80 per person.

All four events can be booked for €220 per person.
