Who'd have thought that Pinot Noir from Australia would cause so much interest. Amazing what's going on there that we've yet to see here in Ireland. As Lar said, all 3 wines were brought in specially for our Landmark Tasting last week. The Yabby Lake wines (which Kevin Ecock and Mary Dowey mentioned in the video) are distributed in the UK by a company called Swig (www.swig.co.uk). Otherwise it's direct to Bannockburn or Tarawarra. Hope that helps. And for interest, our tasting on November 24th of John Wilson's Favourite Australians (kindly featured by Lar here on Sourgrapes.ie) includes 5 Pinot Noirs. If Burgundy lover John Wilson lists 5 Pinots in a list of 70 Australian wines, we just might be onto something.
