Saved in Open wine tasting, Sour Grapes recommends

Wine Australia is hosting another of their Bringing Australia to Ireland tastings, “An Evening in the Adelaide Hills” which takes place on Thursday 3rd September at the Royal College of Physicians at Number 6, Kildare Street.
Where are the Adelaide Hills?
Outside the city of Adelaide, funnily enough, and home to some gorgeous cooler climate wines.
It’s probably fair dinkum to say that in South Australia, Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale have dominated the wine market and the “Hills” has really lived in the long shadow cast by both.
However, that’s starting to change and in the last few years the Adelaide Hills region has started to develop a sizzling hot reputation for its cool wines.
As the oldest wine region in South Australia and (the first vines were planted in 1839, just three years after settlement) the Adelaide Hills has had time to get things right.
Here’s a tasty video about the area.
Your Adelaide Hills wine guide: Marty Edwards
Marty Edwards from The Lane Vineyards will be giving the tasting tour of his region. As well as being Vineyard and Export Manager for his company, Marty is also a member of the Adelaide Hills Wine Show Committee so no better person.
