Wine reviews on Loudervoice.com
In addition to this site, I’ve been reviewing wines on Twitter but that’s not where they’ve stayed. These reviews have been aggregated by a review site called Louder Voice meaning that they have far greater reach than just my Twitter followers.
What is Loudervoice.com?
Loudervoice.com is an established Irish start-up that collects and aggregates reviews from members.

Flexible entry points
If you want to write a review on anything, a wine, food, a shitty service you’ve received, you can do it all it on LouderVoice.com via
With SMS you have a 400 character limit, but with Twitter only 140 with both giving you the instant gratification of writing a review of something as it happens.

So, how do I review a wine (or anything else)?
Easy:
Step 1. Get signed up, register your mobile, blog or twitter account (all three if you like).
Step 2: If on mobile or twitter, use the format “Review 5 Sourgrapes.ie: the most handsome wine blogger on the internets #wine“.
Step 3: Be held in high esteem (and win prizes with their regular competitions).
Where’s it going?
I see great things ahead for LouderVoice.com.
Here are just some of the possibilities:
In a restaurant? Just text your review to the site which can then aggregate all reviews for that particular restaurant – could integrate quite well with a site like menupages.ie.
Bought a wine and think it’s really good? Give feedback and keep scores on the wines you’ve tried. Oh, wait, they’ve thought of that already. Clever.

Benefits for business?
- Feedback on products and services so you can get your customers talking about your brand on your site giving you the opportunity to respond to customer complaints quickly and on your own turf (“online reputation management”).
- Get some good visibility and positive brand awareness in search engines for free

Thanks for the fantastic post Lar! Really appreciated.
Note that we now support “freeform” SMS so that people don’t have to remember any format. Just start the SMS with the keyword RE or WINE and follow that with your opinion of the wine and ideally mention a score out of five somewhere.
Wow, that’s great to hear, Conor – freeform makes it tremendously powerful and usable. Ideal for Right Hook listeners!
