Enowine's Dublin Wine Tasting Centre with upto 40 wines open for tasting

The next “Icon” wine tasting held by enowine in the IFSC will be of Cabernet based wines from all corners of the world.

The iconic Cabernets for tasting

Dominus 2001: Owned by the famous Christian Moueix from Pomerol, Bordeaux since 1983. This is a Napa Valley wine produced with French thinking. 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.

Stonyridge 2003: Stonyridge Vineyard is a world-renowned Cabernet-blend winegrower, located on the beautiful island of Waiheke, near Auckland, New Zealand. 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Malbec, 21% Petit Verdot, 11% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc.

Leoville Las Cases 2001: Leoville Las Cases is owned by the Delon family and is considered as on of the best wines to drink from Bordeaux, though classified as a second growth some people say they should be ranked higher. 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19.5% Merlot, 11.5% Cabernet Franc.

Ornellaia 1999: Founded in 1981 by Antinori. Located on the Tuscan coast Maremma, the decision was to plant Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc as these three varietals are most suited for the exceptional climate of the Bolgheri area.

Two Chenin Blanc icons from Loire Valley

There are also two Chenin Blancs from Domaine Huet in the Loire Valley:

  • 1997 Vouvray Le Mont “Moelleux”
  • 2004 Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu “Sec”
