New(ish) Irish wine blog: on the grapevine blog
Gabriel Cooney, owner of On the Grapevine, has been blogging away since April. His Dalkey wine shop is on the wine map and his blog is onthegrapevineblog.blogspot.com. Worth a read.
Even the humble pear gotta have terroir
Everyberry is talking terroir these days. This time it’s the humble pear from Kopparberg, Sweden. Taken from their multimedia smörgåsbord of a website:
Kopparberg cider is only made using the finest fruit and the unique naturally occuring soft water from the local Kopparberg well. The softness is due to a low mineral content which allows the natural taste of the fruit to come through unaltered. Our water is so precious that Kopparberg cider will never be made anywhere else.
