Where’s my nearest decent wine shop?
Find out on the collaborative wine map I set up. I’m delighted to see others have already contributed to (thanks to all, by the way).

Hey Lar,
What about the excellent Power & Smullen in Lucan?
Hi Seamus,
good call, I’ve added them in – if you or anyone has a Google account, you can add your own to the map, so feel free to add them in.
All is needed is name, address, phone and website address.
Lar
Lar,
Looks great, a very handy resource!!!
I envisage a few issues though, as the map gets fuller and fuller.
1. Is there any way of applying filters to the map (i.e. so that you can manually include/exclude certain chain stores, like O’Briens or the Wine Buff etc..
2. Is there any way of applying ratings to the shops, perhaps across a number of fields (i.e. range, QPR, Customer Service etc..)
3. Where do you draw the line between normal shops and wine shops (i.e. Does Tesco qualify, does Donnybrook fair qualify, does Avoca qualify (do they do wine?))
4. Where do you draw the line between off licences and wine shops?
Just a few thoughts. I really like the map though and will keep on adding anything I can think of.
Cheers,
Will
Hi Lar,
Love the map….Cork will be quite empy tho ….might have to move to Dublin to get a bigger variety. But then, I would miss my Bubble Brothers a lot :-)
