Domaine Du Théron, Cahors AOC, 2001

Bottle of Domaine du Théron, Cahors

I picked the Domaine Du Théron up from Vaughan Johnson’s in Temple Bar for €14.95.

It’s made from 95% Malbec and 5% Merlot. It has a bigger sister (100% Malbec) selling for about €22.

So, here are three quick things to say about this one

  • Beautifully balanced berry fruits
  • Velvety smooth tannins
  • A real pleasure to drink

Unlike the Clos Triguedina and the Clos de Gamot, this one is ready to drink now or over the next year or two.
